
The owners of Playstation 3 console know for sure that their machine
can serve as a media hub to view, download and manage multimedia files
remotely, but they do not know without a doubt that this is also the
first console certified DNLA.
Digital Living Network
Alliance is a new standard of interoperability between multimedia
equipment. You can share content between a computer, a Hi-Fi, a
television set, camera, printer, … It includes industrial computer
science, electronics and mobility. DNLA based on the existing standard,
such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi network for the transport, uPnP for the
management of equipment and formats jpeg, lpcm and mpeg2.
As it happens, the Nokia N95 8GB is
also the first mobilephone to receive this certification. The author
of the Guide Nokia site wrote an interesting little tutorial to assist in the configuration and use.
